OAKLAND (NBA) - The Golden State Warriors beat the visiting New York Knicks on Tuesday night in a game that was all about offense.
In the inter-conference battle, Stephen Jackson scored 35 points as the Warriors won 144-127 over Mike D'Antoni's Knicks.
Golden State improved to 18-35 with the win while the Knicks, who got 30 points from Nate Robinson, dropped to 21-30.
Italy international guard Marco Belinelli is still recovering from an ankle injury and did not play for Golden State.
Another Italian, Knicks rookie Danilo Gallinari, started but only played 15 minutes and finished with six points.
Indiana were at home and upset LeBron James and the high-flying Cleveland Cavaliers 96-95.
Team USA superstar James had 47 points, including two free throws with 0.8 seconds remaining after being fouled on an alley-oop attempt by Danny Granger, to tie the game at 95-95.
After a Pacers' timeout, the James was called for a foul on Granger and the Pacers star sank one of two for the one-point triumph.
Cleveland are now 39-11 and three wins behind Eastern Conference leaders Boston (42-11) while Indiana are 21-32.
San Antonio kept the pressure on Kobe Bryant and the Western Conference-leading Los Angeles Lakers with a 108-83 triumph at New Jersey (24-29).
The Spurs got 27 points, nine rebounds and eight assists from Tim Duncan and are now 35-15
The Lakers, meanwhile, got 22 points and 14 boards from Spain’s Pau Gasol and Team USA star Bryant poured in a game-high 34 in a 105-98 triumph over Oklahoma City (13-39) in Los Angeles.
LA are now an NBA best 42-9.
