NBA MVP 2007: Dirk Nowitzki
[by Tobias Seitz] - It is not official yet. It's just like putting 1and 1 together - it has to be Dirk. The Mavericks won't win 70 games, but they are still the best team in the league and Dirk ist the best player on that team

Second place goes to Steve Nash and thrid will be Kobe Bryant. Even if you don't like Dirk's unspectacular but very efficient game, it is just unbelieveable how hard this guy works on and even off the court. He is the first to be at practice and the last to leave the court. Every game he does his job: 25 points plus 9 Rebounds.
But why isn't it Steve Nash or Kobe Bryant? What about his 50+ performances? Well let me say that Kobe Bryant is the most athletic, most talented or even the best player in the NBA right now. A lot of people don't understand how much power and condition it takes to put up 50+ points. Have you ever tried to sprint up and down the basketball court and take 50 shots? (hoping you will shoot 50%)
Steve Nash had two terrific games against the Mavs. They won both games and Steve would have been the MVP of both games, but that's it. You can't be MVP of a season just you played perfect in two games against the best team.
With their outstanding performances during the last month, Kobe and Steve really tried to steal Dirk's crown, but it wasn't enough. The 06/07 MVP has to be Dirk - at least Charles Barkley agrees.
