MIAMI (NBA) - The Miami Heat are one victory away from a spot in the NBA Finals after beating the Chicago Bulls 101-93 in overtime on Tuesday night.

LeBron James had 35 points and Chris Bosh 22 for Miami, who will try to clinch a 4-1 series triumph in the Eastern Conference Finals on Thursday in Chicago.

"Even though it took an extra five minutes, we held serve," James said.

In a thrilling finish to regulation and with Team USA's Mike Krzyzewski looking on from the stands, James was called for a charge just eight seconds from the end to give the Bulls a chance to win.

But with James closely guarding him, Derrick Rose's 18-footer for Chicago was well short and the contest went to the extra period.

Bosh then scored scored four straight points but Chicago closed the gap to one with a Ronnie Brewer three-ball.

Dwyane Wade, who had struggled offensively all night, then connected from 19 feet and the Heat held on.

Rose, the league's MVP, had 23 points but was just eight of 27 from the field.

The point guard made just one of nine shots from behind the arc and also turned the ball over seven times.

"All I can do now is put it behind me and go forward," Rose said.
