MEMPHIS (NBA) - The Memphis Grizzlies strengthened their grip on a play-off spot in the NBA's Western Conference with a 110-91 triumph over Golden State on Wednesday.
Zach Randolph led the Grizzlies with 20 points and 13 rebounds as they improved to 42-33.
That triumph, coupled with Houston's 108-97 defeat at Philadelphia, has left the Grizzlies three games clear of the Rockets (39-36) with the end of the season approaching quickly.
Jrue Holiday had 24 points for Philadelphia (39-36), who remained two games ahead of seventh-place New York in the Eastern Conference.
The Knicks prevailed at Madison Square Garden over the New Jersey Nets with Carmelo Anthony exploding for 39 points for the winners.
Josh Smith scored 26 points for Atlanta (43-32) in an 85-82 victory over visiting Orlando (47-28).
Orlando, who got 17 points from Hedo Turkoglu of Turkey, are fourth in the East, four games ahead of the Hawks.
Indiana remained in eighth place and a game in front of Charlotte with both sides winning their respective games.
Indiana won 111-101 over Detroit and Charlotte scraped a 98-97 triumph over Cleveland.
East leaders Chicago (54-20) brushed aside Minnesota, 108-91 and are now two and a half games in front of both Boston and Miami.
Miami, upset in their previous game at Cleveland, bounced back with a 123-107 win at Washington.
