    He was crucial for Egypt, picking up 18 points over the tournament along with huge rebounds that paved the way for his success. His impact led him to winning the MVP award. He led the Men’s Team of the Tournament alongside Robert Chima Ukawuba (Nigeria) whose dynamism led Nigeria to silver and top scorer Elly Randriamampionona (Madagascar) who picked up bronze while scoring 46 points.
