    Game Report

CHEKHOV (2015 FIBA U19 Women's World Championship) - A perfect shooting display by Raisa Musina helped Russia take down France68-48, and manoeuvre their way safely into the Semi-Finals of the 2015 FIBA U19 Women's World Championship.

Turning point: Russia held a modest five-point lead after the opening quarter, but turned the defensive screw during the second period. Having restricted France to a meagre seven points, Russia had one foot already in the Semi-Finals by the time the second half was underway.

Stats Don't Lie: Russia were just too hard to contain in the paint and shot a stunning 54% under the basket.

Game Heroes: While Maria Vadeeva had a near double-double of 12 points and nine boards, this game was all about Musina who had a flawless 19 points from a perfect 7 of 7 from the floor - including a rare three-pointer for good measure.

The Bottom Line: It was yet another power-packed display from Russia who will take some stopping in the Semi-Final - although the same can be said of their opponents, Australia in what looks to be a mouth-watering heavyweight clash. Russia still have an ongoing issue with their three-point shooting, but not much else. France did a good job on the glass, but were completely worn down by the Russian defence which stifled them throughout. Russia did a particularly good job on throwing a defensive blanket over Louise Dambach.
