BANGKOK (Thailand) - The best men's players on the planet are dusting off the cobwebs and ready to unleash their insane skills at the brand new FIBA 3x3 Champions Cup 2025 on March 14-16.
Here is a star from every team you just have to keep your eyes on.
Strahinja Stojacic (Serbia)
We just have to start with the dude you know well as 'Doctor Strange'. He's been the best player over the last three years although his top dog status was snatched by Worthy de Jong after the Dutchman's mighty deeds last season.
It's easy to picture a brooding Stojacic spending all his time during the off-season in the lab and finding new tricks for his deep bag. He's ready to reclaim his 3x3 multiverse starting in Bangkok.
Henry Caruso (USA)
The Americans have had a whole line of heroes on the half-court over the years and it's time to anoint their new talisman. His name is Henry Caruso and you know him as the dude who has been a dunking machine for Princeton on the World Tour in recent seasons.
The 29-year-old is entering his prime which is a scary thought for defenders who will have nightmares of being posterized.
Franck Seguela (France)
Think Seguela is satisfied after being a national Olympic hero? Thing again. This Frenchman might look ultra smooth on the half-court, but he's a grinder and has no doubt gone about polishing his already shiny game.
He has gone up a level every season and can do everything on the half-court. Seguela's next goal is the crown and he can make a case in Bangkok.
Worthy de Jong (Netherlands)
Who holds the crown entering 2025? It's 'Hype Worthy' who submitted arguably the most iconic individual season in 3x3 history after his Olympic, regular season and World Tour Final MVPs. There was speculation that he might retire but de Jong has no desire to hang up his jersey just yet.
He wants to continue burnishing his 3x3 legacy and Hype Worthy will be out to prove that he has plenty left in the tank in Bangkok.
Nico Kaltenbrunner (Austria)
The speedy Austrian will never forget 2024, especially his heroics at the Europe Cup made more memorable after the arrival of his first child.
After no doubt enjoying himself with dad duties during the off-season, Kaltenbrunner is ready to unleash magic with the Wilson in Bangkok. If he does that and lifts another MVP then Austria might just be claiming some early silverware in 2025.
Josh Davey (Australia)
This Aussie might not be as well known on the global stage, but those who watched last year's Asia Cup will be well aware of his deadly shooting from beyond the arc.
Don't think he's just an expert from deep, because he also has a quick first step and can get to the rack quicker than you can blink. He's a real one.
Chanatip Jakrawan (Thailand)
Thailand might be considered the underdog, but they won't be afraid of anyone. And they have a secret weapon who will be well known by the end of this tournament. The towering Jakrawan is a dunking machine and will control the paint for Thailand to stamp his presence on the game.
At just 28, he's only just entering his peak so look out!
Elly Randriamampionona (Madagascar) This scoring machine has solid clams to not only being the best player in Madagascar, but also Africa. Randriamampionona can score a flurry of buckets quicker than it takes to write his name.
Not many players on the planet can get red hot like him so opponents will really need to super glue a defender to him.
