MUNICH (Germany) - Emma Meesseman has been named EuroLeague Women MVP for February after lighting it up with Fenerbahce Opet in the recent Semi-Final Play-Ins.
Having also taken the accolade back in October, the forward was crowned monthly MVP once again thanks to a combination of both fan and expert panel voting. Meesseman was one of five standout players selected for the February Team of the Month.
The Belgian averaged the highest performance efficiency valuation of any player in the competition during February with a superb 30.0. This was fuelled by a fantastic 24.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game, all of was instrumental in propelling her team directly to the Semi-Finals.
Meesseman was central to Fenerbahce taking an 86-80 road win at Beretta Famila Schio in the first game of the Play-Ins. She finished the contest with her highest points tally of the season as she dropped 29 on the Italians and also added 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
Then in the return game in Istanbul, Schio pushed Fenerbahce hard once again, but they eased off the line thanks to more great work from Meesseman. She signed off the Play-ins with a classy double-double of 19 points and 10 boards, plus 4 assists in a 64-60 home floor triumph.
