    Mali are the U18 Women's AfroBasket 2024 champions

    Mali won a record 7th title of the last 10 editions of the tournament.

    PRETORIA (South Africa) - Mali beat Nigeria 76-56 on Saturday in Pretoria to be crowned the FIBA U18 Women's AfroBasket 2024 champions.

    It was Mali's seventh U18 Women's AfroBasket title dating back to 2006.

    By reaching the final, Mali - who closed their campaign with a 6-0 mark - secured one of the two tickets available for African countries for the FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup 2025 to be held in Czechia. Nigeria secured the other qualifying ticket to the World Cup.

    In their first appearance in the competition, Cameroon beat Uganda 70-63 to finish third.
