CALI (DIRECTV Liga Sudamericana 2018) - The teams of Quimsa (Argentina) and Baurú (Brazil), achieved their qualification to the Semi-Final Phase of the DIRECTV Liga Sudamericana 2018, by securing the first two places of Group C.

Quimsa took the first spot of the preliminary group with a 3-0 record, following a win over Minas Tenis Clube (Brazil) by 74-57.

The team from Santiago del Esteró executed an effective defense that left the rival with only 30% of effectiveness in shots from field and a variant offense that included nine three-point shots.

For the third night in a row, power forward Leonardo Mainoldi led Quimsa in points, this time with 16. Federico Aguerre added 15 from the bench and Courtney Fells 14.

Che Bob and Samuel Daniel led the Minas offense with 13 and 12 points respectively.

In the other match, Baurú (2-1) silenced the Cali fans by winning 82-66, to keep the second place.

The Paulista team established the conditions of the game from the first quarter and did not give greater options of reaction to the opponent. Throughout the game they stayed at the top of the scoreboard with great virtues.

Forward Jefferson stood out with 24 points (five triples) and eight rebounds. The pivot Lucas was confirmed as the most constant man of coach Demetrius, during the development of the group, by contributing 19 points.

Quimsa and Baurú joined Franca (Brazil), Instituto de Córdoba (Argentina) and Olimpia (Paraguay), at the next stage of the DIRECTV Liga Sudamericana 2018.
