KEN - Kenya post easy win over Ethiopia
KIGALI (All Africa Games) - Kenya men beat Ethiopia 80-54 in their Zone Five All Africa Games qualifiers at the Amahoro Peti Stadium. It was Ethiopia who made the first basket by Ebrahim Abubeka hit a three pointer but David Otiso replied for Kenya who led 38-27 at half time. Ancette Wafula scored 24 points, Ben Oluoch scored 11 while Yoni Wanambiro and Dan Okwirri combined for 17.Ebrahi Abubaker hit 11 for Ethiopia.

In the opening match of the games, host Rwanda fell 66-82 to Egypt. rains interrupting the fixtures for over 30 minutes.

Rwanda beat Burundi 56=49
In the ladies match, Kenyan coach Cliff Owuor Rwanda survived a scare before winning 56-49 over Burundi.
