Jordan were pushed all the way before finally edging Qatar 79-75 in a less than convincing display.
Sam Daghlas led Jordan with 23 points while Zaid Abbas added 19.

It is Jordan's second victory over Qatar in the tournament, but neither came easy as they edged them out 68-66 in the opening game, needing to hold off a furious rally as Qatar outscored them 24-10 in the final quarter.
Jordan had an easier time of it in their second game as they routed Syria 86-55.
Qatar also beat Syria 75-66 in the tournament.
The three teams will now meet again as they have been drawn together, along with Lebanon and Philippines, in Group B for the FIBA Asia Stankovic Cup, which tips off on Saturday.
