PRAGUE (Czech Republic) - Jeddah (KSA) earned their first FIBA 3x3 World Tour Masters title in front of the iconic Prague Castle on September 18-19, 2021.
Another Masters, another first-time winner. The new-look Jeddah team, who added Lausanne Masters 2015 MVP Ovidijus Varanauskas and Dejan Mlakar to the one-two punch of Nemanja Draskovic and Kevin Corre this season, scored the first basket in the final against the number one team in the world Liman (SRB) and never looked back.
Draskovic had a game-high 7 points in the final and was named MVP after finishing first in points, drives and player value. The 30-year-old Serbian star had a masterful shooting performance the entire weekend in the streets of Prague: he shot 50% from outside the arc, 75% from inside the arc and 88% from the line.
The number four 3x3 player in the world and Tokyo 2020 Olympics bronze medalist Aleksandar Ratkov led Liman in scoring and finished second overall but is still chasing his first title this year on the World Tour after finishing 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th in 2021.
In the individual contests, Vadim 'Miller' Poddubchenko (UKR) took off in the Ceps Dunk Contest while Matthias Linortner (Graz, AUT) won the Ceps Shoot-out Contest.
All the health and safety measures requested by local and national authorities and the Guidelines for the Return to Basketball, developed by the FIBA Medical Advisory Group (MAG), which were successfully introduced last season, were implemented once again.

It was played successfully for the first time in international competition at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore and since then has benefited from the launch of a yearly city-based FIBA 3x3 World Tour and national-team FIBA 3x3 World & Continental Cups.
On July 24, 2021, 3x3 made its Olympic debut at the Tokyo Games.
