MIES - The IBF wishes to congratulate Mr. Jean-Michel Ramaroson, newly appointed FIBA Africa National Federations President, for the achievement of the "Executive Master in Sports Governance" (MESGO)

MIES - The International Basketball Foundation (IBF) wishes to congratulate Mr. Jean-Michel Ramaroson, newly appointed President of the Africa Committee of National Federations and member of the IBF board, for the achievement of the "Executive Master in Sports Governance" (MESGO).

The MESGO is a unique program for sports professionals wishing to learn to master the complex and diverse dimensions of different international practices related to high performance sport.

According to Mr. Ramaroson, "this program allowed me to have an in-depth approach to the issues facing the various actors involved in the development of basketball, to exchange and learn with people of very rich experiences and from different horizons. Finally, I was able to take full advantage of the various sessions led by quality speakers in prominent sporting locations".

Through his thesis, "the impact of 3x3 basketball on the development of the discipline in Africa", the graduate was able to show the importance of 3x3 in the emerging countries of basketball.

He explains, "The training comes just at the right time as part of my assignment within FIBA is focused on the development of national federations. The knowledge and intellectual baggage of the training are immediately applicable in the context of various programs and related to their governance, to the various projects of the new concept of competition at the African level, to the promotion of events, to new perspectives of development as well as to other more social dimensions where the IBF is concerned".
