MIES (Switzerland) - First week of the Round of 16 in the 2024-25 Basketball Champions League season is now in the books, and now that we've digested Tuesday's and Wednesday's action, Thursday brings us a chance to reflect on the best individual performances.
The 13th Team of the Week this season consists of Jhivvan Jackson (FIT/One Wurzburg Baskets), Marcelinho Huertas (La Laguna Tenerife), Jaromir Bohacik (ERA Nymburk), Derrick Alston Jr (BAXI Manresa) and RaiQuan Gray (AEK Betsson BC).
Jhivvan Jackson was unstoppable for Wurzburg, knocking down seven three-pointers to guide the team to the slimmest possible win, a one-point triumph over Bertram Derthona Basket.
Marcelinho Huertas turned back the clock again, getting more points than minutes and securing yet another home win for La Laguna Tenerife, keeping Pallacanestro Reggiana at bay.
Jaromir Bohacik was the key man as ERA Nymburk picked up a big road win over the Hungarian champions Falco-Vulcano Szombathely, and his lefty jumper looked as pure as ever in a 20-point win.
Derrick Alston Jr had once again all the clutch plays as BAXI Manresa ran away from Aliaga Petkimspor to get another win at home and cruise to a winning start to the Round of 16.
RaiQuan Gray had a monster second half against Promitheas Patras BC Vikos Cola, leading AEK Betsson BC to a winning start to the Round of 16, flying to his BCL season-high on the day.
