    Tickets go on sale for FIBA Intercontinental Cup

    Tickets are now available for the FIBA Intercontinental Cup, the much-anticipated four-team competition taking place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from February 15-17.

    MIES (Switzerland)/RIO DE JANEIRO (Brazil) - Tickets are now available for the FIBA Intercontinental Cup, the much-anticipated four-team competition taking place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from February 15-17.

    There are two types of tickets:
    A Day Pass, valid for either of the two gamedays (Friday, February 15 or Sunday, February 17); A Tournament Pass, which grants access to all four games played across the two gamedays. [/unordered]

    A Day Pass ranges in price from US $9 (35 Brazilian Real) to US $35 (130 Brazilian Real), while a Tournament Pass is on sale from between $15 (60 Brazilian Real) to US $52 (200 Brazilian Real).

    The four teams taking the court at Carioca 1 Arena, the iconic venue that hosted the Olympic Basketball Tournament in 2016, are: 2018 NBA G League champions Austin Spurs; Basketball Champions league title holders AEK (Greece); DIRECTV Liga de las Americas title holders San Lorenzo de Almagro (Argentina); tournament hosts Flamengo, who are the last Brazilian team to win both the DIRECTV Liga de las Americas and FIBA Intercontinental Cup in the same year (2014).

    The tournament will be played in a Final Four format, with two Semi-Finals on February 15, followed by a 3rd-Place Game and Final two days later.

    The Semi-Finals will see San Lorenzo take on AEK and Flamengo face Austin.
