    Abdouramane Toure tied the scoring record with Dzanan Musa

    Guinea's Abdouramane Toure tied the record for the most points in a single U17 World Cup game as he scored 50 points in his team's 105-101 loss to China in the Classificiation 13-14 game.

    ISTANBUL (Türkiye) - Dzanan Musa has company in the record books of FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup history as Guinea's Abdouramane Toure tied the mark for the most points in a single game with 50 against China in the Classification 13-14 game.

    Unfortunately for Toure, the performance came in a loss as Guinea were defeated 105-101. The forward made 21 of 27 shots including 6 of 11 three-pointers and 2 of 2 free throws. The 21 made field goals is a new record, topping the previous mark of 18 by Musa. The Bosnia and Herzegovina international star set the scoring record in the Classification 9-16 at the 2016 U17 World Cup with 50 points against Chinese Taipei.

    "It feels good. I wish we would have gotten that W. It would have felt way better. It means a lot, but it doesn't mean as much as I wish it did with the win," said Toure, who said his highest scoring output in high school in the United States was 49. "I am happy to get 50 finally."
