College basketball star Andrew Lovedale admitted he would like to represent Great Britain in the future.

The Davidson power forward who impressed alongside star teammate Stephen Curry at last year's March Madness said in an interview on FIBA.com playing for Team GB would be a "dream come true".

The 6ft 8in senior is this season averaging a career-high 12.8 point per game and 9.6 rebounds each night.

Lovedale was born in Nigeria but raised in Manchester where he went to Loretto College and learned the game with the Manchester Magic.

In March last year GB coach Chris Finch said: "Andrew's performances in the tournament (March Madness) have been nothing short of inspirational.

"We are looking into his status because he is someone we would love to have in the Team GB family and we will most certainly be reaching out to him."
