    GER - U17 Boys participate at international tournament in Manchester

    German National Team Coach Frank Menz tests five new players for the WCFM squad

    HAMBURG (FIBA U17 World Championship 2010) - Still 192 days to go until the FIBA U17 World Championship for Men starts in Hamburg (July 2nd - July 11th, 2010). Nonetheless, the German U17 team along with their National Team Coach Frank Menz are in the midths of their preperations - and they won't even stop for Christmas. After a sucessful training camp over the past weekend in Rotenburg, the ING-DiBa Team moves forward to their next challenge. From December 26th - December 30th, 2009 Germany participates at an international tournament in Manchester.

    In contrast to the European competition in the past summer, Frank Menz' twelve men squad features five new faces for Manchester. Besnik Bekteshi, Stephan Haukohl, Max Merz, Malik Müller, and Andreas Wenzl called the attention of the German Head Coach with great performances. The quintet is in for the competition for the final spots in the German WCFM team.

    Paul Albrecht (TuS Jena), Besnik Bekteshi (BSG Ludwigsburg), Fabian Bleck (Phoenix Hagen), Anselm Hartmann (Picture, TuS Jena), Stephan Haukohl (TuS Jena), Jakob Krumbeck (TuS Jena), Max Merz (Eintracht Frankfurt), Malik Müller (SG Urspringschule), Josip Peric (ALBA Berlin), Leon Tolksdorf (ALBA Berlin), Tim Unterluggauer (TSV Bayer Leverkusen), and Andreas Wenzl (SSV Ulm).

    On Call:

    David Herwig (TuS Lichterfelde), Jonathan Malu (SOBA Rhöndorf), Nikolaj Vukovic (Eintracht Frankfurt) und Paul Zipser (USC Heidelberg).

    Julius Wolf is exempted.

    Bogdan Radosavljevic (without club) and Dennis Sasse (TuS Neukölln) are currently injured.
