LONDON (Olympics) - Sarah McKay doesn't know if she will be among the lucky ones to walk into the Olympic stadium for the Opening Ceremony with Great Britain this July, but at least the 26-year-old has a chance.

A 2.01m center, McKay has battled back from injuries that kept her off the court the last two years and has been given an opportunity to make the squad for the London Games.

"I am beyond excited about being included for GB's preparation camp this year," she said.

"It is one step closer to the ultimate goal of the Olympics and this is what a lot of us have been working towards for over four years.

"I am now focused on making the final roster.

"We are lucky enough to have the opportunity to get together soon which gives us time to prepare for the biggest summer ever."

McKay and 17 others will meet at the Surrey Sports Park on 5 May with coach Tom Maher to launch their Olympic preparations.

"Everyone is coming to camp with great anticipation and ready to work hard to achieve our goals this year which is fantastic to see," Maher said.

Great Britain played at their first EuroBasket Women last year in Poland, advancing from the first group stage but coming up short of the Quarter-Finals.
