MUNICH (Germany) - Gameday 5 of the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers produced some unforgettable showings by some of the biggest stars on the continent - including one of the greatest performances in the competition's history.

Sasha Vezenkov was simply remarkable for Bulgaria in a thrilling 81-77 overtime victory over Sweden. The superstar forward scored 40 points - second-most in the 2025 Qualifiers - to go with 18 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals in registering an efficiency of 49.
Both the efficiency and rebounds stats were leading marks in these Qualifiers. And, the victory kept Bulgaria alive in the race for EuroBasket.
Serbia were already through, but big man Filip Petrusev had a fantastic showing for the Balkan side with 34 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in a 105-95 win over Finland for an efficiency rating of 36.
The triumph saw another player secure a place in the lineup as Aleksa Avramovic produced an efficiency of 33. The guard collected 21 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 3 steals.
The next best efficiency came from Latvian Rodions Kurucs, who produced 28 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals in an 83-66 victory over Spain - giving the forward an efficiency rating of 35.
While Vezenkov helped Bulgaria stave off elimination, Mario Hezonja did all he could but couldn't keep Croatia from missing out on EuroBasket. The guard scored 37 points and grabbed 11 rebounds albeit in an 83-80 loss to France.
