MUNICH (Germany) - Toney Douglas has claimed January's FIBA Europe Cup MVP honors following an explosive start to the New Year for FC Porto.

Douglas couldn't help Porto secure a crucial road win against Maroussi BC, going down 82-81 to start the month, despite shooting 6-of-11 from three-point range for 36 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals against the Greek outfit.
The guard helped his side regroup with a morale-boosting 86-75 success over Casademont Zaragoza, with the American not having his best scoring night - just 4 points on 2-of-12 shooting - but he impacted the game in other aspects, pulling down 10 rebounds and dishing out 8 assists.
That momentum continued on the road to Tofas Bursa to cap off the month, where Douglas filled the stat sheet with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 6 steals, leading Porto to an impressive 90-82 win in Turkiye.
Douglas edged out Tofas guard Marcquise Reed to the monthly accolade, and the two will be looking to guide their respective sides into the last eight on the final week of Second Round action.
