FRA - Noah joins up with France team

PAU (EuroBasket) - Joakim Noah has arrived at France's EuroBasket training camp to boost Les Bleus.

The Chicago Bulls star has been in Los Angeles receiving treatment on ankle problem, but jetted in to Pau this afternoon and immediately made his way to camp.

He was welcomed there by his team-mates, who hope he can have a major impact in Lithuania.

"He is a big, big player in the NBA," said Nicolas Batum. "He could do something big for us, and be an extraordinary player."

However, coach Vincent Collet cautioned against putting too many expectations on Noah's shoulders.

The 26-year-old has not previously played for his country at a major tournament, and Collet recognises he will need time to find his feet.

"He is hungry but he does not have the experience of other players in the group," he said. "We should not put too much pressure on him."
