Former Puerto Rican coach Victor Ojeda passes away
MIAMI (United States) - The FIBA family mourns the death of the former coach of the Puerto Rican national team, Victor Ojeda. He also served as director of the FIBA Basketball Academy in the Americas.
MIAMI (United States) - The FIBA Family mourns the death of the former coach of the Puerto Rican national team, Victor Ojeda. He also served as director of the FIBA Basketball Academy in the Americas.
Ojeda was an outstanding coach and was known for his significant contribution to basketball in Puerto Rico.
"We mourn the death of the professor and former national leader Víctor Ojeda, who led the men's national team that won a gold medal at the Central American Games in Medellín, Colombia 1978 and in the World Cup in the Philippines that same year. Our condolences to all his family and friends," said the Puerto Rican National Federation.
Ojeda directed the FIBA Basketball Academy in the Americas since the year 2000 to 2017. He had a fundamental role in the training and education of young athletes and coaches.
FIBA
