DAKAR (Senegal) - Four matches were played on the second day of the 2024 Women's Basketball League Africa (WBLA), one each for Groups A and B with C witnessing two encounters.
With each team having taken to the court now, the numbers point to what many expect will be incredible performances as the competition unfolds.
We take a look a some of the top performers from Game-Day 2 here:
Nadine Mohamed
The Egyptian guard dropped 22 points including four treys, while picking two rebounds for 20 in efficiency.
Mohamed, who finished her US collegiate career as UNC Greensboro’s all-time leading scorer with 2,084 points and 2020 Southern Conference (SoCon) Player of the Year, led Al Ahly Sporting Club to a 99-49 victory over Nigeria's Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) Queens on Saturday.

Ly crashed the boards with 17 rebounds, the highest mark in this year's WBLA so far.
The 24-year-old completed her double-double performance with 13 points, adding four blocks for the day's highest efficiency at 26.
REG's loss (78-74) and Ly's fouling out dampened what would have been a perfect start for coach Julian Martinez's team.
