    FIBA Women's Centrobasket Championship 2024 groups announced

    The official draw was held at the FIBA Americas Regional Office in Miami.

    MIAMI (USA) – The groups for the FIBA Women’s Centrobasket Championship 2024 have been finalized following the official draw, which was held at the FIBA Americas Regional Office in Miami, USA. The tournament will be played from November 5 to 10 at the Inforum in Irapuato, Mexico, featuring eight national teams from Central America and the Caribbean. Before the draw, teams were seeded into pairs based on their positions in the FIBA Women’s World Ranking, presented by Nike. The teams were then drawn into their respective groups, along with their match order. Here are the draw results:

    Group A

    1. El Salvador 2. Cuba 3. Costa Rica 4. Puerto Rico

    Group B

    1. U.S. Virgin Islands 2. Guatemala 3. Mexico 4. Dominican Republic During the Group Stage, each team will play one match against each of the other teams in their group. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Semifinals, while the remaining teams will compete for 5th to 8th place. The winners of the Semifinals will battle for the gold medal in the Final, while the losing teams will compete for the bronze. The top four teams from the FIBA Women’s Centrobasket Championship 2024 will qualify for the FIBA Women’s AmeriCup 2025. FIBA
