PORTLAND (USA) - A glut of rising stars who have already excelled on the FIBA international stage have been named to the USA women's roster that will face a World Select Team at the 2025 Nike Hoop Summit. Scheduled to take place in Portland, Oregon on April 12 at the Moda Center, this will be the 26th edition of the event, with the women's showpiece having been introduced in 2023.

Three members of the USA roster stood on the top of the podium at the FIBA U17 Women's Basketball World Cup 2024. Hailee Swain, Alexandra Eschmeyer and Emilee Skinner all collected gold medals at the showpiece competition in Leon, Mexico. Swain was one of the leading contributors in the USA's glory, going to work in the backcourt and posting a double-digit scoring return of 10.7 points per outing. Meanwhile Sienna Betts, Madison Francis, ZaKiyah Johnson and Jasmine ‘Jazzy’ Davidson were all part of the USA side that won the FIBA U18 Women’s AmeriCup in Colombia.

Betts made the All-Star Five lineup in Bucaramanga after leading the competition in efficiency, helped by an eye-catching performance efficiency valuation of 25 in the gold medal game. Always fun to watch, Davidson is a two-time gold medalist, having also helped USA to lift the 2024 FIBA 3x3 U18 Women’s World Cup in Debrecen, Hungary. Darriana ‘Dee’ Alexander and Crump and Aaliyah Crump were crowned champions at the 2023 FIBA U16 Women’s AmeriCup in León, Mexico. Only three ballers will head into the tournament as USA debutantes, with Aaliyah Chavez, Grace Knox and Jordan Speiser all eagerly anticipating their first time in national team vests. USA will be coached by Dan Rolfes who was at the helm for the USA's golden campaign at the FIBA U16 Women’s AmeriCup 2023. He will be assisted by Karen Self and Alicia Komaki.
