    FIBA U17 Oceania Championships postponed to April 2022

    GOLD COAST (Australia) – The Men’s and Women’s 2021 FIBA U17 Oceania Championship scheduled to be played in December in Samoa have been postponed due to travel restrictions in the region.

    GOLD COAST (Australia) – The Men’s and Women’s 2021 FIBA U17 Oceania Championship scheduled in December in Samoa have been postponed due to travel restrictions in the region.

    "Unfortunately, we have to postpone the FIBA Oceania U17 Oceania Championships. After extensive deliberations with host Samoa, we had to make the difficult decision to move the competition to April 2022," shared FIBA in Oceania Senior Manager, Amanda Jenkins.

    The exact dates and location of the championship will be determined in the coming months.

    The FIBA U17 Oceania Championships is the qualification phase for the FIBA U18 Asian Championships, which serves as the official qualifier to the FIBA U19 World Cup.
