    FIBA - Star-studded Trophy Tour stop in Zagreb

    ZAGREB (FIBA Basketball World Cup) - The Trophy Tour is in Croatia's capital of Zagreb this weekend (Saturday 21-Sunday 22 June) for the sixth stop of its European leg, where fans and passers-by will have the unique opportunity to meet an impressive group of the country's leading basketball figures.

    Krunoslav Simon and Ante Delas - who helped Croatia to a fourth-place finish at EuroBasket 2013 and a place at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup - will be joined in Zagreb's Main Square (Ban Jelacic) for the two-day event by their coach, Jasmin Repesa, with national team hopefuls Darko Planinic and Luka Babic joining them.

    Also in attendance will be a number of Croatian legends: former national team player, coach, administrator and FIBA Hall of Fame inductee Mirko Novosel; Petar Skansi, a member of the (Yugoslavia) gold medal-winning team at the 1970 FIBA World Championship, who also served as Croatia's national team coach at the 1992 Olympic Games and is now Deputy Minister of Science, Education and Sports; former national team player turned sports team manager Nika Prkacin; former Yugoslavia and Serbia coach Aco Petrovic.

    As always, visitors to the Trophy Tour and the Road Show 2014 articulated full-size truck (with its travelling exhibit that features unique pieces of history as well as fun games and activities) will get the chance to have their picture taken with the Naismith Trophy.

    Here is a rundown of the event's programme (opening times are 10am-8pm both days)

    Saturday
    11am-1pm: Press conference and official inauguration of the Trophy Tour
    11:30am-1:30pm: Learning basketball skills with Kruno Simon, Croatia National Team player
    2pm-3pm: Public three-point shootout against Nika Prkacin
    4pm-8pm: Minibasket activities

    Sunday
    10am-11am: Minibasket activities on court
    11am-12pm: Hanging out with Mirko Novosel
    12pm-1pm: Learning basketball skills with national team players Tomislav Zubcic and Ante Delas
    1pm-2pm: 3×3 tournament for kids
    2pm-3pm: Learning basketball skills with national team player Luka Babic and three-point shootout with kids
    4pm-8pm: Spain2014 contests with the public - 3×3 tournament, three-point shootout and many more.
