KUALA LUMPUR (FIBA) - FIBA President Yvan Mainini and Secretary General Patrick Baumann last week attended the FIBA Asia Executive Committee meeting in Kuala Lumpur.
At the meeting, the Executive Committee announced it was embracing FIBA 3on3 and will work with FIBA in holding workshops in various Asia sub-zones starting in Kuala Lumpur in July.
On this occasion, Mr Mainini (pictured) visited the FIBA Asia headquarters for the first time.
After the Executive Committee meeting, Mr Mainini and Mr Baumann - along with FIBA Asia Secretary General Dato' Yeoh Choo Hock - met with the parties in conflict over the state of basketball in Thailand to mediate talks. Progress has been made in finding a solution.
