GENEVA (FIBA) - FIBA has entered into an agreement with the Hamburg based company Bigpoint GmbH, leading provider of browser based online games (browser games). The Bigpoint browser game “Actionleague Basketball” is now tied into the Internet website FIBA.com. According to the motto "We are Basketball“, every basketball fan can go from the FIBA website to www.fibagame.com and click directly into the game to experience the FIBA World Championship 2006 again with his stars. The browser game “Actionleague Basketball” now holds the official license for the FIBA World Championship. Every player can choose the original stars from the last world championship for his team. Afterwards, the hobby basketball player can put on the shoes of his favorite stars, and vie for a spot in the rankings with other Actionleague gamers. In a real live 3D atmosphere, he can show that he has what it takes to be a basketball pro. Pass, throw and slam dunk right on the court – and prove yourself as go-to guy by setting up the best game on the court.
