FIBA Open's 10th Edition to be held on 15-16 June 2024 - Save the Date!

MIES (Switzerland) - 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of the FIBA Open! Join us for an unforgettable basketball celebration at the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball.

From 15 to 16 June, the House of Basketball will welcome its 10th edition of the FIBA Open, the biggest 3x3 tournament in Switzerland. 

Established in 2015, the FIBA Open was designed to open the doors of the FIBA World Headquarters to the surrounding communities and to create an event inclusive to all, allowing athletes of all ages and capabilities to play basketball in a safe and friendly environment.

Over the last 9 years, thousands of participants of different ages, genders, capabilities, and nationalities gathered for a weekend of celebration, passion, and sharing - making the FIBA Open the most anticipated event for amateur basketball players.

In 2023, the FIBA Open welcomed close to 300 teams and over 1’000 players to celebrate the 10 years of the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball.  18 different categories treaded the 12 courts ensuring diversity and inclusivity. Besides playing the game, the visitors also have the opportunity to learn more about the history of basketball by visiting the museum, tasting healthy and delicious food, and participating in numerous playful activities in a festive atmosphere!

The FIBA Open has continued to grow over the years and is now hosting a stage of the 3x3 Swiss Tour organized by Swiss Basketball,  one of the major Partners of the event with Molten, Peak, Synergy Sports, SEIC, and Mondo.

Despite its success and image as an event not to be missed, the FIBA Open is first and foremost a fundraising event. All proceeds collected during the tournaments are donated to the FIBA Foundation’s Basketball For Good projects.
