    FIBA - Legends lend hand for Spain 2014 draw broadcast around the world

    BARCELONA (FIBA Basketball World Cup) - On Monday night, the Official Draw of the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup takes place in Palau de la Musica Catalana in Barcelona. For this special occasion, FIBA has called on some legends of the game to lend a helping hand.

    Spain's Juan San Epifanio - or 'Epi' - along with Croatia's Dino Radja, Puerto Rico's Jose 'Piculin' Ortiz and FIBA Hall of Fame inductee Jean Jacques Conceicao of Angola will assist in the Official Draw procedure when teams will be drawn into the four Preliminary Round groups and have their positions within those groups determined.

    All four former players boast impressive resumes.

    'Epi' played in three FIBA World Championships, participated in four Olympics winning a silver medal and took part in eight European Championships that resulted in a silver medal and a bronze medal.

    Radja won a bronze medal at the 1994 FIBA World Championship, participated in three Olympics winning two silver medals and competed at six European Championships that saw him crowned continental champion on two occasions and claim three bronze medals.

    'Piculin' played in four FIBA World Championships, four Olympic Games and was an eight-time Puerto Rico National League champion.

    Conceicao participated in three FIBA World Championships and two Olympic Games and is a seven-time FIBA Africa Championship gold medallist.

    The draw will take place at 7pm CET/GMT +1 and can be watched live in more than 100 countries and territories.
