MUNICH (Germany) - The seeds for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 European Pre-Qualifiers Second Round draw have now been confirmed.
The 12 participating teams have been split into three seeds of four, based on the latest update of the FIBA World Ranking Men, presented by NIKE.
Austria, Norway, Romania and Switzerland earned their berths from the First Round, and were joined by the eight teams that missed out on qualifying for FIBA EuroBasket 2025: Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Hungary, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Slovakia and Ukraine.
The seedings are as follows:
Seed 1: Croatia, Ukraine, Hungary, Bulgaria Seed 2: Netherlands, North Macedonia, Denmark, Slovakia Seed 3: Switzerland, Romania, Austria, Norway
The draw will take place at the House of Basketball in Mies, Switzerland on Friday, March 14 at 14:00 CET.
Teams will be assigned to four groups of three teams each, with all Second Round games played in August 2025.
The top two national teams from each group will advance advance to the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 European Qualifiers, set to commence later this year.
