    FIBA Africa set for Central Board meeting in Abidjan

    ABIDJAN - FIBA Africa's Board will meet on Friday-Saturday 5-6 April in the Ivorian capital of Abidjan.

    ABIDJAN - FIBA Africa's Board will meet on Friday-Saturday 5-6 April in the Ivorian capital of Abidjan.
    This is the second important basketball event following the FIBA Central Board meeting held over the past weekend.

    The continental basketball governing body will reflect and evaluate the actions undertaken in 2018 and discuss the outlook for the coming years.

    Over the course of the two-day working-session, a number of other topics will be discussed, including:
    - Outreach of 3x3
    - Equipment endowment programme
    - Training programmes for coaches, referees and other officials.

    The Board will also discuss the implementation of the FIBA Africa Basketball League, the reformulated African Clubs’ competition.

    In preparation for the Central Board meeting, FIBA Africa's Executive Committee met on Wednesday April 3.

    FIBA Africa President and FIBA Vice-President, Hamane Niang presided over the Executive’s meeting. The meeting was attended by FIBA Africa Vice-president Anibal Manave, FIBA Executive Director - Africa, Alphonse Bile; FIBA Africa Technical Commission President, Abderraouf Menjour, FIBA Africa Competitions Commission President, Fode Amara Conde; FIBA Africa General Treasurer, Abdelhamid Massaoud and FIBA Africa National Federations Commission President, Jean-Michel Ramaroson.
