FIBA 3x3 Nations League 2024 will serve as qualification for U23 World Cup

MIES (Switzerland) - The most talented youngsters on the planet will be on show at the FIBA 3x3 Nations League 2024 with plenty at stake. 

The seventh edition of the Nations League gets underway in June and will feature 13 different conferences comprising players under the age of 23 (including U21 teams). 

There will be seven conferences from Europe, including three U21, two from Africa and Asia, and one each from Americas and U21 Asia-Pacific. 

Events will be played from June-August with destinations including 3x3 fan favorite location Voiron in France, Mexico City, Kuala Lumpur and Kampala, Uganda. 

The Nations League will showcase the best young talent in the U21 and U23 categories. U21 players are born between 2003-05 and U23 players born from 2001-05.

To spice things up, the upcoming edition also serves as a new qualification route to the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup 2024. Conference winners will qualify for the showpiece youth event, which will be played in 3x3 crazy Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on September 11-15. 

The hosting National Federation (Mongolia men and women) will receive automatic qualification along with the reigning champions (USA men and Netherlands women).  The rest of the teams (for a total of 20 per gender) will come from the winners of each conference and the next teams in  the Nations League 2024 final standings. 

All remaining slots will be allocated based on the final standings of the Nations League. 

The Nations League was launched in 2017 as a development program for men and women under the age of 23 to develop their skills in preparation for the open category.
