RIGA (Latvia) - The waiting is almost over for the complete outlook for FIBA EuroBasket 2025, with the participating nations finding out their opponents this week.
The draw ceremony is set to take place at Riga Circus in Latvia's capital, and will commence at 14:00 CET on March 27, with the livestream on the official FIBA YouTube channel.
Group A will be played in Riga, Latvia; Group B in Tampere, Finland; Group C in Limassol, Cyprus, and Group D in Katowice, Poland.
The four co-hosts have each selected a partner country, which will be placed in the same group. The agreements were reached between Latvia and Estonia, Finland and Lithuania, Cyprus and Greece as well as Poland and Iceland.
The 24 teams will be split into four groups of six, having been seeded based on the FIBA World Ranking Men, presented by NIKE, earlier this month.
The hosts and partner countries will be drawn first in separate dedicated pots, before the rest of the teams follow. However, those teams cannot be drawn with hosts or partner countries that are from the same seed.
As per the decision of the FIBA Europe Board, Türkiye cannot be drawn in Group C in Cyprus.
