ANTANANARIVO (Madagascar) - Continental bragging rights are on the line as the FIBA 3x3 Africa Cup 2024 explodes to life on the half-court. Here is all the info ahead of the sixth edition of the most prestigious 3x3 event in Africa.

Where can I watch? The action runs from November 29-December 1, and you can follow it live on the FIBA 3x3 YouTube page Who is competing? There are 17 teams – 10 in the men's and 7 in the women's – journeying to Madagascar. Who are the favorites? We have to start with host Madagascar, who are an African powerhouse and will have their passionate fans willing their every move.

Madagascar have a storied history in the tournament having gone all the way in 2022 and they won bronze last year.

But they are pitted in the deepest field in Africa Cup history with defending champs Egypt looming large. Top seed Egypt have made the final in the last three events and also won in 2019 to cement their credentials as a legit title contender.

In the women's, top seed Egypt will be extra pumped up after their dreams of a three-peat fell flat last year. The African powerhouse's stranglehold of the tournament was breached by Kenya, who are the second seed and confident of going back-to-back.
