Bahcesehir, Leiden and Sporting pick up important Second Round wins

In addition to Sporting, crosstown rivals Benfica also tasted success on Wednesday night and the victories of the Lisbon sides changed the complexion of Group K.
Sporting are now the frontrunners in the group as they produced a strong finish to see off Trefl Sopot in a 76-63 success. Travante Williams powered the hosts to victory with an all-round display of 22 points, 12 rebounds and 7 steals with his side taking the fourth quarter, 28-11.
Benfica cruised past previously unbeaten CSM CSU Oradea to end their winless streak in the Second Round. They outscored their opponents 33-11 in the second quarter on the way to recording an emphatic 94-57 victory.
Frank Gaines paced Benfica with a 26-point haul including seven triples to help keep their hopes alive of making it through to the Quarter-Finals, albeit with further ground to make up.
Meanwhile, Bahcesehir College edged closer to the last eight after bouncing back from a previous defeat to beat London Lions 76-61 to move to a 3-1 record in Group L.
The visitors put on a show with a succession of dunks in the first half as well as a total of six blocks in the contest. Langston Hall contributed 26 points and 5 assists with Jamar Smith posting a double-double of 10 points and 11 assists.

Also moving to 3-1 were ZZ Leiden with an impressive 98-93 success at home to medi Bayreuth in Group I. Jhonathan Dunn top scored with 21 points on an efficient 7-of-10 shooting and was joined in double figures by four teammates.
The Dutch side pulled clear to lead by as many as 21 at the start of the fourth quarter off the back of a 14-0 run. Terry Allen netted 21 points for the visitors as they rallied to close within four points late on, though the damage had been done as their Quarter-Final hopes were ended.

There were also four games from Gameday 4 that were postponed due to COVID-19 related disruptions and are set to be rescheduled.
