MUNICH (FIBA Europe Cup) - There were a lot of big numbers all around in the FIBA Europe Cup this week to mark the halfway point of the Regular Season in spectacular fashion.

Falco Vulcano and Darrin Govens set the tone with an explosive win over Karposh Sokoli and the action only picked up steam, as Tsmoki-Minsk forward Chris Czerapowicz cleaned the defensive glass against Alba Fehervar, Jesse Sanders set a new season-high in assists and ESSM Le Portel went bananas against Bosna at Le Chaudron.

Like every week, we are taking a look at the most interesting events of the gameday through the lens of numbers and getting you up-to-speed on all of the record-breaking performances.

Halfway through the Regular Season, only four teams are yet to lose a game in the FIBA Europe Cup. Kataja Basket defended their perfect record against Mornar Bar in Group C, Egis Kormend survived an overtime thriller against Keravnos in Group D, Group E leaders U-BT Cluj-Napoca moved to a 3-0 mark in Group E, while Proximus Spirou followed suit in Group F.

It wasn't a particularly good week for Sigal Prishtina after a hot start in Group G, with the Kosovar side suffering their first loss of the Regular Season with a 27-point defeat on the road against Demir Insaat. Andrew Lawrence was just about the only player to maintain his form from the three-game winning streak and finished the game as the team's leading scorer with 18 points.

The point guard also registered 5 steals, the second-best mark in the competition this season, without committing a single turnover. However, one of his teammates, Dardan Berisha, quite gracelessly turned the ball over 6 times to undo all of these efforts.

The two Prishtina guards were not the only ones contributing to frequent possession changes – Tarik Philip also had 5 steals for Szolnoki Olaj against Nizhny Novgorod, while Tsmoki playmaker Filip Adamovic was on the other end of the spectrum with 6 turnovers.

After picking up MVP honors in the ABA League last week, Mornar Bar big man Uros Lukovic showed he is in tip-top shape by earning a place on the Team of the Week in the FIBA Europe Cup as well with a ranking of 31 versus Kataja Basket.

The 28-year-old center from Belgrade scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, with 6 of them coming on the offensive end. That is the second-best mark in the competition in the 2016-17 season.

The three-pointer marksman club received two new inductees, with Darrin Govens of Falco Vulcano and Milan Stegnjaic of Kapfenberg Bulls making 7 long-range baskets each to join Osiris Eldridge and Antywane Robinson at the top of the leaderboard this season.

Govens missed just one shot from beyond the arc, finishing a blowout against Karposh Sokoli with a 7-of-8 mark, while Stegnjaic went 7-of-10 in a loss against FC Porto.

K.T. Harrell went to the free-throw stripe 10 times against BC Balkan and made every single one of his attempts to lead Basic-Fit Brussels to a big comeback win with a team-high 22 points.

The Belgians trailed by as many as 17 points, but their Bulgarian opponents let that lead slip away, as the hosts mounted a ferocious fightback in the second half to triumph 81-78 in the end.

Jesse Sanders set a new season assist record with 12 dimes against Avtodor Saratov, but couldn't prevent SL Benfica from dropping to a 1-2 mark after picking up a 97-86 loss in a high-paced game in Lisbon.

The previous best belonged to Filip Adamovic of Tsmoki, who accumulated 11 assists against Proximus Spirou a couple of weeks ago in the opening gameday of the season.

Meanwhile, another interesting event occured over in Szombathely, as the Falco Vulcano one-two punch of Darrin Govens and Zoltan Perl were both in double figures in assists with 11 and 10 dishes, respectively.

Tsmoki forward Chris Czerapowicz was a real rebounding machine against Alba Fehervar. The 26-year-old Sweden international scooped up 15 rebounds in what turned out to be a 73-64 loss in Hungary.

Having notched down 13 of them on the defensive end of the floor, the player set a new season-high in that category and came within a rebound of tying the all-time record, currently shared by five different players.

In terms of the current season, only Jalen Jenkins of the already-eliminated Icelandic champions KR has had more success on the glass this season, registering a 16-rebound game against Belfius Mons-Hainaut in Qualification Round 1.

Bnei Rav-Bariach Herzliya center Jeff Adrien reached the 15-rebound mark twice.

Darrin Govens, who was absolutely on fire from the field this week, missed a couple of easy lay-ups in the fourth quarter and came just one point short from the all-time FIBA Europe Cup efficiency record with a ranking of 45.

The current record-holder Chase Fieler, who collected a ranking of 46 as a member of Donar Groningen last season, kept his place in the history books.

When ESSM Le Portel outscored Bosna 31-3 in the opening period, you could tell this was brewing. The dominant French side showed no mercy against their Group A opponents from Sarajevo, as they inscribed a 101-51 victory at home at Le Chaudron.

While the 50-point margin does seem large, it came nowhere near the largest defeat in the history of the FIBA Europe Cup, with the 121-45 victory for CEZ Nymburk against Irish side Hibernia still at the top of the list.

In a 108-87 thrashing of Karposh Sokoli, Falco Vulcano hit the season-high scoring mark, equaling the offensive output of their compatriots and Group H rivals Szolnoki Olaj in their Qualification Round 1 tie against Trabzonspor.
