A constant factor in Spain's campaign as they beat Czech Republic in the Final to land their ninth title, Contell produced some terrific performances during the competition. She did it at both ends of the court and finished the tournament with 10.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.1 steals per game.
Contell was not the only Spanish baller to be recognized for her efforts, with Noa Maria Djiu also claiming a place in the All-Star Five. The frontcourt ace was always going big on the glass, bringing the intensity and showing herself as a heartbeat for Spain.
While Valentyna Kadlecova didn't come out with the gold medal she had hoped, she could barely have done more to propel Czech Republic to their first appearance in the Final in 20 years.
Ilaria Panzera nailed down a spot for her amazing contributions for Italy, including a sparkling 27 points and 5 steals in the Third-Place game that handed her team a bronze medal.
Finally, host nation Hungary finished strongly to secure a top-five finish and that was largely down to Reka Dombai, who led her team in efficiency, points, assists and steals.
