PARIS (FIBA U20 Women's European Championship) - Having been drafted to the WNBA and having pushed for a place at FIBA EuroBasket Women 2017, Lisa Berkani is ready to show her talents.

It has been a roller-coaster year for the French guard, who had the thrill of being selected in the Second Round of the 2017 Draft by the Minnesota Lynx who recognized her extensive skills and versatility.

She then looked set to make the transition to the French senor set-up, but was cut during preparation so didn't get a seat on the plane to Prague, where France finished with a silver medal at The Final Round.

Now Berkani has a new mission and that is taking her country towards the podium in Matosinhos at the FIBA U20 Women's World Championship.

She was the standout name in a 20-player list selected by head coach Jerome Fournier. France are looking to get back onto the podium after landing the title in 2014 and then making the Final a year later - prior to finishing in sixth at the last edition.

France will play in Group B against Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary and Slovenia.
