BELGRADE (FIBA U20 Women’s European Championship) – Serbia have already determined the 12 players who will carry their hopes at the FIBA U20 Women’s European Championship in Matosinhos.

Having made the Semi-Finals at the previous edition in Portugal last summer, there are three survivors of the team that challenged for the podium.

Serbia roster for FIBA U20 Women’s European Championship 2017

Snezana Bogicevic Milica Bojovic Djurdjina Djokic Sanja Dunderski
Ana Ilic Tamara Jovancevic Aleksandra Katanic Anastasija Podunavac
Vanja Popludijevic Lara Radulovic Marija Stojiljkovic Vladana Vujisic

Head coach Bogdan Bulj will be able to rely upon Snezana Bogicevic, Aleksandra Katanic and Ana Ilic - although they will suffer from losing the inspirational Aleksandra Crvendakic, who no longer qualifies. She led the team last year and went on to play for her country at the Rio Olympics.

Katanic could be the one to fuel Serbia’s hopes of a strong tournament as she heads into the summer off the back of scooping domestic silverware with Crvena Zvezda.

Meanwhile, Bogicevic is also going to now be a key player and is hoping to be fully fit as she nurses her way back from an injury that ruled her out of the first preparation camp earlier this month.

Serbia will play in Group D with Netherlands, Russia and Turkey.
