    Ukaj picks up MVP honors in Prishtina

    PRISHTINA (FIBA U18 European Championship 2018, Division C) – Kosovo forward Rron Ukaj snatched up the Most Valuable Player honors at the FIBA U18 European Championship 2018, Division C after leading the host nation to its maiden title in FIBA competitions.

    The talented 17-year-old power forward rose to the occasion in the 73-64 victory against Cyprus in the Final, scoring a team-high 17 points and adding 8 rebounds with a steal and a block.

    He finished the home tournament second on the efficiency leaderboard in Prishtina, with an efficiency score of 21.8 after averaging 14.6 points, 12.0 rebounds and 1.0 block per game.

    The runners-up Cyprus were represented on the All-Star Five by guard Polys Iliadis, with Ireland's top scorer Darragh O'Sullivan filling the other backcourt slot after claiming bronze.

    The event's scoring champion Roman Tomatis of Monaco got consolation for coming up short in the Third-Place Game with All-Star Five honors, with the lineup rounded out by Vadim Raducan of Moldova.
