    Greece captain Rogkavopoulos headlines All-Star Five after snatching up MVP honors

    SOFIA (FIBA U16 European Championship 2017, Division B) - After leading Greece to FIBA U16 European Championship 2017, Division B title, Nikolaos Rogkavopoulos claimed the MVP award.

    SOFIA (FIBA U16 European Championship 2017, Division B) - After leading Greece to FIBA U16 European Championship 2017, Division B title in the Bulgarian capital Sofia, the team's captain Nikolaos Rogkavopoulos also earned individual honors after being named the MVP.

    The 16-year-old power forward, who led the entire tournament in efficiency, headlined the All-Star Five after averaging 18.0 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game and converting three-pointers at an excellent 44.1% clip.

    Rogkavopoulos embraced the bright lights of the gold-medal duel against the Netherlands, rising to the occasion with a game-high 21 points and 7 rebounds to lead Greece to a 74-60 victory in the Final.

    The runners-up were represented in the All-Star Five by the duet of Rienk Mast, who was the top scorer for the Dutch side in the title bout with 16 points and 6 rebounds, and the team's overall top scorer Tristan Enaruna.

    Rati Andronikashvili took his deserved spot in the lineup of the tournament's outstanding players for the bronze-medalists Georgia, after making game-winning shot in the third-place that earned his country promotion, while Great Britain guard Mate Okros rounded out list.
