U16 Men's Games: Saturday 20 August

RADOM (FIBA U16 European Championship 2016) - There is plenty to play for on the final day of the tournament as the medal games take place as well as the 13-14 survival decider.

Final

Spain v Lithuania

The top two scoring sides in the competition looking to complete an unbeaten run to the title. Spain have taken U16 Gold three times since 2006, while Lithuania last won eight years ago.

Joel Parra (16.7ppg) and Usman Garuba (16.5ppg/12.7rpg) have led the way for Spain, while their point guards have been key contributors. Tomas Balciunas leads Lithuania in both points (13.7) and rebounds (10.5) but there are a number of different scorers that form a strong, balanced attack.

Spain rank 16th in free throws having only made 47.6% but have got to the line 31 times more than their opponents. Lithuania are a threat from beyond the arc and lead all teams with their 35.3% accuracy.

Bronze Medal Game

Turkey v Croatia

After falling short of making the Final, Turkey and Croatia return to action in the search of third place. Turkey achieved bronze last year, while Croatia have not secured a medal since claiming back-to-back titles in 2010 and 2011.

Classification 13-14

Bosnia and Herzegovina v Estonia

A huge game for both teams as they aim to preserve their status as a Division A side at U16 level. Bosnia and Herzegovina and Estonia had each lost five games in a row before keeping their hopes alive with timely first victories on Friday. Both teams won their respective Division titles last year, but one will be facing relegation.

Classification 5-6

Finland v France

Finland have the chance to surpass last year's impressive finish of sixth as they take on France for the right to earn a top-five placing. Joel Ayayi led his team past Italy on Friday, while the Finns are now 5-1.

Classification 7-8

Montenegro v Italy

Montenegro and Italy have both shown flashes of their potential, but inconsistent performances ultimately led to their undoing. Igor Drobnjak and Federico Miaschi are in the top-5 points scorers and will look for one final flourish.

Classification 9-10

Serbia v Germany

Marko Pecarski is head and shoulders above everyone else in the stats department and received vital support from Zoran Paunovic in Friday's OT victory over Latvia. Germany secured a top-10 finish by beating Sweden.

Classification 11-12

Latvia v Sweden

Sweden have probably been the story of the tournament in the way they responded to heavy opening losses and will want to close out their stay on a high. As for Latvia, they will be disappointed just to have picked up two wins so far.

Classification 15-16

Poland v Greece

Complete despair for Greece and Poland as they head into their final game of the tournament. Both have been resigned to Division B next summer, but play for pride on the final day.
