MUNICH (EuroLeague Women) - Hatay BSB have edged nearer to realizing their dream of a ticket to the Quarter-Finals after digging out a precious home success against CCC Polkowice.

The EuroLeague Women rookies outlasted their opponents 58-54, as they overcome a worrying second quarter drought which witnessed them score only three points.

However, the fans in Antakya eventually ended up seeing a victory as Hatay improved to 5-7 in Group B with just two Regular Season games remaining.

    Hatay yendi!

Four players returned double-digit scoring returns, with Serbian center Dragana Stankoivc impressing with a smart 5-of-6 shooting display.

In the other game to be played on Thursday, there was joy for another Turkish club as Mersin doubled their win tally for the season as they took a 73-54 win at CMB Cargo Uni Gyor.

The visitors  were behind at the interval, but a sensational 26-7 third quarter turned the game on its head. Yet again it was Lithuanian national team leader Gintare Petronyte who stood out as she finished with a terrific double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds.

The result keeps Mersin in contention for a fifth or sixth place finish which would see them parachute into the EuroCup Women Quarter-Finals.
