ISTANBUL (EuroCup Women) - We check in with those involved in the historic second leg of the Final and take a look at how the action went down on social media.

It was a memorable night for first-time winners Yakin Dogu Universitesi as they hit top gear with a spectacular final quarter run to claim a 63-58 victory over a crestfallen Bellona Agu.

"We are really proud of what we achieved as a team," said Quanitra Hollingsworth who starred with a double-double that returned 16 points and 10 rebounds. "We had a great comeback during the game that showed how much we believed, we fought and deserved the trophy. I congratulate everybody on the team and also Bellona Agu!"

Turkey national team forward Bahar Caglar was quick to ensure her pet dog got his share of the success!

Made to sweat by their opponents for three quarters of the game and with prize playmaker Courtney Vandersloot on four fouls by half-time, it was hard work for Yakin Dogu playcaller, Zafer Kalaycioglu.

He said: "We are really happy, it was our first participation in EuroCup Women and it is amazing to see that we could win the trophy. There is too much to say about our story, but I will just say thank you to everybody involved in this amazing journey we have had."

The result condemned Bellona Agu to a third EuroCup Women Final loss as the precious silverware slipped through their fingers in agonizing fashion. The Kayseri side has looked well-placed to make history themselves when leading by ten points late in the third quarter.

"We are naturally disappointed to lose the Final," said guard Tanisha Wright. "But, we fought hard and we were close to wining the trophy and I congratulate Yakin Dogu Universitesi."

Both clubs will now focus on the last week of the Turkish Regular Season and will have an eye firmly on Play-Off Championship silverware.
