    Day 7 recap: France take the title in Konya, MVPs of Challengers named, Vaida erupts

    MUNICH (Germany) - The last day of the FIBA U20 Women's European Challengers witnessed France landing the title in Konya, MVPs being named for each of the different Challengers and Laura Vaida of Romania

    MUNICH (Germany) - The last day of the FIBA U20 Women's European Challengers witnessed France landing the title in Konya, MVPs being named for each of the different Challengers and Laura Vaida of Romania posting the best performance of the entire tournament.

    - Laura Vaida posts an efficiency rating of 45 for Romania against Luxembourg

    Konya Challenger:



    Day 7 results: France finished flawless on Turkish soil but had to work hard to take the silverware over Russia with a 78-74 success, founded on a terrific 21 points and 11 rebounds from Kendra Chery. Meanwhile Belarus finished their campaign in Konya with a flourish as they beat Portugal 63-54 behind 22 points from Yana Yakhnavets. But, there was agony for hosts Turkey who endured a 49-48 reverse at the hands of Poland as Magdalena Szymklewicz netted 22 points.

    Sofia Challenger:



    Day 7 results:  Italy finished the campaign without a loss to their name after winning 50-49 against Germany in a nail-biter although they only did so as their opponents missed two free-throws in the last second of the contest. Belgium soared past Croatia 77-37 in a one-sided matchup, while Latvia enjoyed a last day victory over Bulgaria with Paula Klescova leading them to a 74-58 success. 

    Yerevan Challenger:

    Day 7 results: Greece left Yerevan without a perfect streak posted as they worked hard to see off Ukraine 59-54. Hosts Armenia were denied the victory they craved as they finished 0-4 after being taken down 79-72 by Albania.as Klea Verru showed out yet again with 27 points and 7 boards.

    Skopje Challenger:

    Day 7 results: There was elation for Kosovo who got off the mark at the last attempt as they won in dramatic fashion 63-62 against North Macedonia. Romania secured second place in Skopje after they beat Luxembourg 73-59 after an amazing double-double of Laura Vaida, who harvested a massive 21 points and 26 rebounds.
