Gibraltar pull out of FIBA U18 Women's Challenger in Andorra

MUNICH (Germany) - Gibraltar has informed FIBA Europe and the local organizers that their national team will be unable to take part in the FIBA U18 Women's European Challenger.

MUNICH (Germany) - The Gibraltar Amateur Basketball Association has informed FIBA Europe and the local organizers that their national team will be unable to take part in the FIBA U18 Women's European Challenger in Andorra la Vella, Andorra.

Gibraltar reached this decision after the team's preparations were disrupted due to complications caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The change doesn't affect the order of games for the remaining five teams in Group E of the Challengers, as Cyprus, Georgia, Malta, Moldova and hosts Andorra will each have a rest day on the day that their game against Gibraltar was initially scheduled.

The FIBA U18 Women's European Challenger in Andorra la Vella tips off on July 27.
